Dr. Caroline Hernandez is board certified in internal medicine and is a Fellow of the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Hernandez earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, in 1983 and her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas, in May 1989. She completed her residency training in internal medicine at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island, from 1989 to 1992. She has obtained multiple honors and awards throughout her training and medical career. Dr. Hernandez practiced internal medicine with a dedicated and compassionate team of healthcare professionals at Conviva Live Oak in San Antonio, Texas. Earlier, she enjoyed working in an urgent care clinic near Richmond, Virginia. She returned to San Antonio, where she started in private practice in 2003. As a native of San Antonio, Dr. Hernandez is proud of her Mexican heritage and enjoys practicing Spanish with her Spanish-speaking patients. In her spare time, Dr. Hernandez likes traveling, spending time with family and friends, the RV lifestyle, live music & sports, and caring for her pets.
