Benjamin Perez, Nurse Practitioner

Benjamin Perez is a certified Nurse Practitioner and has been in the healthcare field for 28 years. He speaks English and Spanish, has a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas and is board certified in Adult and Geriatric specialties. He has worked with seniors in both inpatient and outpatient settings and has worked closely with patients in home health for over 15 years. His nursing career has spanned a variety of roles and patient populations in multiple settings, including clinics, hospitals and home health. Prior to joining CenterWell, Ben worked as a nurse practitioner and wore many nursing hats, including operating room nurse, medical surgical nurse, charge nurse, laser safety officer, quality coordinator, resource nurse for two hospitals, field home health nurse, assistant director of nurses and director of nurses in home health care. It was his desire to maintain and improve the health of individuals and health care services that drew him to the healthcare field. He believes that patients are unique individuals and should be treated with respect and compassion and that they deserve to be included in all healthcare decisions. He enjoys contributing to the well-being of his community, educating people to better manage their health and promoting healthy living. Ben is proudest of his family and is married with three children. He comes from a family of six, which has made him an uncle to 15 nephews and nieces. When he is not caring for patients, he likes spending time with family, enjoying nature, practicing sports, reading or watching a good movie or documentary.
