Dr. William Stueve joined CenterWell as a board-certified family medicine specialist. Dr. Stueve completed his family medicine residency at St. Paul-Ramsey Medical Center in Minnesota. He earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas. According to Dr. Stueve, becoming a doctor meant he could be a scientist and work with people, and it's the people, his patients, he enjoys most about his role. Before joining CenterWell, Dr. Stueve was a physician POD leader at Landmark Health. He previously was the Director of Primary Care at Heartland Community Health Center and, for 14 years, was a family physician at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. At CenterWell, Dr. Stueve finds himself among great coworkers and leadership, as he puts it. He believes in a patient-centered approach that incorporates social determinants to improve health outcomes, consistent with his patients' goals. He feels collaboration and shared decision-making are the ingredients for a good doctor-patient relationship. Aspiring to be fluent in Russian, Dr. Stueve spends his non-working hours with his bilingual family, which includes his spouse (a native Russian speaker), two sons, a cocker spaniel, and parakeets!
