Dr. T.J. Yin joined CenterWell as a board-certified physician specializing in internal medicine. Dr. Yin attended Duke University, the University of Florida, and earned his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at Baptist Health Systems in Birmingham, AL. Dr. Yin chose medicine so that he could apply science and problem-solving to health on a personal, individual level. The son of Taiwanese immigrants, he is proud to be the first doctor in his family. Working as a primary care physician and hospital nocturnist, Dr. Yin has vast experience in different settings, populations, and systems of healthcare delivery, all of which he believes prepared him to understand and treat his CenterWell patients. In terms of patient satisfaction, he says, “I do my best to understand the situations that people find themselves in so we can arrive at individual solutions.” For him, the ideal patient relationship is based on trust and respect. In his free time, he enjoys soccer, aikido, and listening to classical music. He lives by the words: “Every day, improve on the last because there's always something else to improve!”
