Dr. Teresa Garrison joined CenterWell as a fellowship-trained, board certified geriatric and internal medicine specialist. Dr. Garrison completed her geriatric fellowship at the University of South Carolina/Prisma Health and her internal medicine residency at Emory University. She earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and her bachelor's degree from Spelman College. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Dr. Garrison was a primary care physician with JenCare. She previously was a hospice medical director for the LHC Group and helped develop a successful clinic for medically complex, high-risk adults. Her passion for addressing healthcare needs aligns with her affinity for older adults. She believes in building trust and respect in the doctor-patient relationship, treating her patients as she would her family members, a philosophy that resonates with CenterWell's values. Dr. Garrison's journey in healthcare began with her own medical challenges as a premature infant, inspiring her to become a physician. She is happily married with two daughters and enjoys quality time with her family, cooking with her daughter, and exploring new dining experiences with friends.
