Sarah Doll is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner and recent hire at the CenterWell in Grandview, MO. She has worked in the healthcare field for 10 years, first as a nurse, and later as a nurse practitioner. Before joining CenterWell, Sarah worked at Centerpoint Medical Center, where for the last five years a large percentage of her practice were senior patients. Prior to Centerpoint Medical Center, she worked at both, Research Medical Center and St. Luke’s East Hospital as a nurse (for 5 years total) prior to becoming a nurse practitioner.
Sarah’s specialty is Family Medicine, completing her studies at Rockhurst University and Research College of Nursing. She tells us that she entered the healthcare field for the fulfillment and intellectual stimulation.
When asked what she enjoys most about being a Nurse Practitioner, Sarah answers, “It’s nice to make a difference in peoples’ lives, even if it’s just making them feel heard. And I love the relationships I build with patients,” she adds. According to Sarah, patient satisfaction starts with thoroughness, good communication and bedside manner. She also believes that trust and mutual respect are fundamental to the best of provider-patient relationships. Sarah’s philosophy of care is that patients deserve to be heard rather than dismissed and they should be partners with their providers in driving their health.
When she is not caring for patients, you will likely find Sarah reading or spending time with family. She also enjoys cooking and caring for her two young children, a daughter and son. Having grown up in Kansas City, Sarah is happy to contribute to her community and take care of those within it.
