Karina Perez, PA-C, has joined CenterWell as a board-certified physician assistant. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and has been a healthcare professional since 2017. Ms. Perez received a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from the University of Texas at Dallas and earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, in 2022. She completed clinical rotations, including family medicine, internal medicine, women's health and obstetrics, emergency medicine, acute care, neurocritical care and acute stroke unit, psychiatry, and infectious diseases, in medical practices and hospitals, including Clements University Hospital and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas, Texas.
Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Ms. Perez served as communications director for the Texas Metroplex Institute for Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Surgery in Arlington, Texas. She admires older adults' positive attitudes and eagerness to learn more about their health. Ms. Perez emphasizes listening to her patients as vital to improving their health and well-being, a philosophy of care that supports CenterWell's patient-centered values of medical excellence, compassion, and empathy.
Ms. Perez chose her career path because she has a warm place in her heart for seniors and for safeguarding their quality of life. Outside of work, she appreciates spending time outdoors and cooking.
