John Stanton is a board-certified physician and has been working in healthcare for 15 years, attended UC San Diego as an undergrad and completed his medical degree at American University of the Caribbean and his residency at the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences. Dr. Station also has a Masters of Business Administration from Keller Graduate School of Management in New York.
Dr. Stanton is a fan of CenterWell’s focus on preventative and team-coordinated care, as well as the availability of vital medical services to promote health and well-being.
Stanton’s previous employment was at Bayshore Ambulance, where he was an EMT field-training officer, and at the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences where he was a resident physician. Dr. Stanton says he has witnessed the medical landscape change over the years and has gained invaluable insight into how people's culture, values and lives are impacted by our system of care. His philosophy of care centers is defined by enhancing the lives of his patients with evidence-based medicine.
“Medicine transcends our normal interpersonal relationships and allows me to touch peoples' lives in more powerful ways,” Dr. Stanton says. He ensures patient satisfaction by working with individuals according to their unique values, preferences and resources to help his patients be happier and healthier. He believes that the right doctor-patient relationship is one in which both sides benefit– resulting in being happier and healthier patients.
In his time off, Dr. Stanton is an avid traveler, having visited over 40 U.S. states and 20 countries. He also enjoys surfing, wakeboarding – and loves sushi!
