Jodine Sejour-Donatien, Associate Medical Director

Dr. Jodine Sejour-Donatien recently joined our Old National location in Atlanta as Associate Medical Director. She graduated from Morehouse School of Medicine and completed her residency at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. She is board certified and specializes in Family Medicine and Geriatrics. Dr. Sejour-Donatien is uniquely qualified to lead her team and model the core values of senior care learned over 16 years as a primary care physician. She began her medical career in Miami at a practice focused on senior care, and after five years went to Maine to complete a Geriatric fellowship. While there, she also practiced a full scope of Family Medicine at a rural clinic. Moving back to Florida in 2013, Dr. Sejour-Donatien returned to the same private practice, Liberty Healthcare Center, which was acquired by Humana the following year. She later spent eight years at Conviva as lead physician in a value-based care clinic for seniors, leading both centers to multiple years of 5-star Hedis ratings and top ratings for population health screenings. Working with the senior population has taught Dr. Sejour-Donatien patience and increased her compassion for the elderly. When it comes to CenterWell, she says feels honored to be able to work for another Humana company. “They have demonstrated their respect for the role of providers and make the workplace an inclusive and supportive environment,” she says. Dr. Sejour-Donatien believes in listening to the needs of her senior patients to ensure their satisfaction. She acknowledges that each person may have different needs, but that the common thread is compassionate care and mutual respect. “Treat people the way you want your grandmother to be treated” is how she sums up her philosophy of care. When she is not taking care of patients, Dr. Sejour-Donatien is an active leader in her church, sitting on the boards of various health ministries. Her husband is also a Family Physician, and they have five children. Dr. Sejour-Donatien’s background is Haitian-Bahamian, so she speaks Haitian Creole and loves all things Caribbean!
