Jean Savio Estel, M.D., FAAFP

Jean Savio Estel, M.D. has been working in healthcare for 16 years. He attended medical school at Université Notre Dame d'Haïti in his native Haiti and successfully completed a Family Medicine Residency at Mayaguez Medical Center in Puerto Rico. Dr. Estel is board certified in Family Medicine with a specialty in Geriatric Medicine, and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He speaks four languages: English, Spanish, Haitian Creole, and French.

Before joining CenterWell in Rosemont, Dr. Estel was an Attending physician at Metro Health of East Orlando, a Medicare Advantage clinic, for four years, and participated in a Geriatric Medicine Fellowship at Florida Hospital/Advent Health for a year. Before arriving in Florida, Estel served as Chief Resident of the Mayaguez Medical Center Family Medicine Residency program.

Estel has always had a deep connection to the elderly, which began with his maternal grandparents, and he developed a passion for the area of geriatric medicine. Learning from his senior patients’ diverse life experiences is one of the things Dr. Estel enjoys most. According to him, the right doctor-patient relationship is a partnership based on mutual respect and trust, and patient satisfaction starts with good communication, listening carefully and treating each patient as a unique person – physically, psychologically and socially.

Dr. Estel believes in constant improvement and learning. He is the father of two boys, and says his children’s happy faces are always guaranteed to make him smile. During his time off, he enjoys spending time with family, cooking, and sports .
