Hazel Tan Felix joined CenterWell as a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Ms. Felix earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Charles R. Drew University in Willowbrook, California. As an undergraduate, she obtained her bachelor's degree in physical therapy in the Philippines in 1997. Her academic appointments have included nursing clinical instructor at Nevada State College in Henderson, Nevada. Before joining CenterWell, Ms. Felix, who speaks English, Tagalog, and Ilocano, was a primary care provider at Cano Health for over a year and a half. The best part about her being a family nurse practitioner, according to Ms. Felix, is seeing the good results of her work. She believes in ensuring patient satisfaction by listening attentively to her patients. 'It's a great feeling to offer service to people with compassion,' she remarked. “Working with older adults is a challenging yet satisfying job, especially when you see patients happy with the care they are receiving,” she added. The words she lives by are integrity and care. When she is not working, Ms. Felix loves to cook. She is married to a loving husband and is very proud of her two kind and intelligent children.
