Felicia Michelle Ward, MD

Dr. Felicia Michelle Ward joined CenterWell as a board-certified internal medicine specialist. She has worked as a healthcare professional since 2002. Dr. Ward earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine. She completed an internal medicine residency at Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans, Louisiana. Before joining CenterWell in 2023, Dr. Ward provided primary care in the home setting with Heal Doctors and urgent primary care with Ochsner Connected Anywhere Telemedicine. She previously worked with Encore Telemedicine. For 12 years, she was a hospitalist with Schumacher Group in Lafayette, Louisiana, providing inpatient internal medicine. Earlier, she was a hospitalist at Ochsner Medical Center. Dr. Ward has worked with seniors in multiple capacities throughout her career. She provided inpatient medical care as a hospitalist for 18 years, and during that time, she cared for older adults at their most difficult stages of illness. For the last four years, she has provided primary and preventative care to seniors in their homes. Dr. Ward became a healthcare professional because of the innumerable opportunities it provides and for the honor of helping better the lives of people of all ages. Describing her care philosophy, she believes listening to her patients is vital to improving their quality of life and health. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and reading.
