Erin began her healthcare career working in various departments as a Registered Nurse for the Roper Saint Francis Healthcare system, where she stayed for nearly 10 years. Prior to joining CenterWell, she served as a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner at Liberty Doctors for approximately three years. Erin has a Bachelor’s in nursing from the Medical University of South Carolina and a Master’s in nursing from Walden University. She is board certified in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care.
Becoming a healthcare professional allowed Erin to combine her desire to help others with her passion for problem solving. Her favorite part about the work is being able to empower patients to be the best version of themselves. Erin’s years of experience as an RN allowed her to develop strong critical-thinking skills and a compassionate bedside manner, and she enjoyed advancing these skills to the provider level as a Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. She is confident that her training in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care and her years of nursing help her in delivering outstanding care to CenterWell’s patients. She also loves that there are so many resources available to both patients and providers here.
To Erin, patient satisfaction is achieved through listening, educating, and developing a care plan together with her patients to get them as healthy as possible. She defines the right patient-provider relationship as one that’s built upon trust, with the holistic goal of optimum health. Her philosophy of care is to focus on each patient as an individual, “so we can work together as a team to improve their health outcomes and quality of life,” she explains.
When she is not caring for patients, Erin likes spending time with family and friends, making jewelry, and reading fiction novels.
