Dr. Andrew Evans joined CenterWell as a board-certified family medicine specialist. Dr. Evans completed his residency in family medicine at the University of Nevada, Reno, School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine, Barbados Campus. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Tyler. Before attending medical school, he spent a year in the oil industry and as an Emergency Medical Technician in the Emergency Room of Christus Health.
Dr. Evansjoined CenterWell in 2023 after finishing his residency. During his training, half of his panel of patients was made up of seniors. His experience with older adults and hands-on approach to patient care inform his role at CenterWell. Dr. Evans describes the right doctor-patient relationship as connected, caring, and patient-centered. He believes in giving patients the knowledge and guidance they need to make healthy decisions together and finds fulfillment in the ability to provide the information, medications, and resources for his patients to live healthier and more balanced lives. He appreciates CenterWell's value-based system for providing excellent care.
Dr. Evans decided to go to medical school to impact people's lives positively. A surfer from East Texas, he moved back to Texas to spend more time with family. He enjoys surfing and playing music and lives by the words, "Treat others how you would like to be treated."
