Dr. Amy Raz is board certified in Internal Medicine and successfully completed a fellowship in Geriatrics. Dr. Raz earned her bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and her medical degree from Tel Aviv University in Israel. She completed her residency at NYU Langone, Winthrop Hospital. Raz comes to CenterWell from Nuvance Health, where she was part of an internal medicine hospitalist team since 2015. Before that, she worked with seniors as a staff physician in a short-term rehabilitation unit and nursing home from 2012 until 2015.
In short, Dr. Raz has years of experience as an Internal Medicine physician caring for patients with a range of acute and chronic conditions. Making a difference in people’s lives is always guaranteed to make Dr. Raz smile and working as part of a healthcare team to help patients feel better and be their best selves was behind her desire to become a physician. Dr. Raz tells us she enjoys forming relationships with people, and at CenterWell, she is pleased to have enough time with them to understand their health goals. Achieving patient satisfaction, to Dr. Raz, means establishing goals of care and assessing areas for improvement–while keeping expectations realistic. She has a patient-driven philosophy of care in line with quality medical care and patient goals. Dr. Raz is married and has three children. In her time off, she enjoys bicycling and spending time with her family.
