Allison L. Medlin, M.D.,is board-certified through the American Board of Family Medicine. At CenterWell Truman Road, she leads a team of compassionate, patient-focused primary care professionals with a commitment to medical excellence. Dr. Medlin completed a family medicine residency at St. John Hospital & Medical Center and was named Chief Family Medicine Resident. She earned her medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean. Before attending medical school, Dr. Medlin received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiologyfrom the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville. As a Chancellor's Scholarship recipient, she attended college with a full academic scholarship, and she ran Division I track and cross-country. Her team, the Lady Razorbacks, finished as high second at the NCAA National Championships. Dr. Medlin made theSoutheastern Conference Scholar-Athlete Honor Roll from 1999-2002.She also attended the University of Arkansas for graduate school whereshemaintained 4.0 GPA whileservingGraduate Assistantshipsat Washington Regional Hospital Center for Exercise and the University of Arkansas Human Performance Laboratory.Dr. Medlin's research,Ultrasound Evaluation of the Acutely Injured Shoulder,garnered 2nd place in the Family Medicine Department and was presentedat Michigan Research Day XXXlV. From 2015 until joining CenterWellin 2022, Dr. Medlin practiced as an attending physician with Heritage Physicians Group in Independence, Missouri. She worked as a general practitioner in Australia at the 24-Hour Medical Centre in Cairns,near the Great Barrier Reef. Dr. Medlinis aPhi Chi Medical Fraternity member. In her free time, she enjoys exercise and travel.
